Fruits make for ideal sweet, natural alternatives!  Today’s challenge is all about the importance that fruit plays in Diabetes. Did you know that many people with Diabetes steer away from fruit due to fear of the natural sugars in fruit? Although some fruits do have high sugars,  moderation and choosing fruits that are low on the GI scale are key.  Fruit is essential because it provides vitamins and minerals our bodies need. They play a key role in healing and fighting internal inflammation (caused by high blood sugar levels) and they help with balancing blood glucose levels.
